The main purpose of the job: To deliver safe, comprehensive and quality nursing care according to the Scope of Practice

Mediclinic Southern Africa is a healthcare provider operating in South Africa and Namibia focused on providing acute care, specialist-orientated, multidisciplinary hospital services are currently in search of Professional Nurse for 3 months fixed term contract. Professional Nurses specialising in ICU, General, Obstetrics, Theatre, and Emergency Care.

We are currently in process of building talent pools for the Tshwane Region regions in including:  

Tshwane Region: Mediclinic Brits, Mediclinic Heart Hospital ; Mediclinic Kloof ; Mediclinic Lephalale ; Mediclinic Limpopo ; Mediclinic Midstream ; Mediclinic Medforum ; Mediclinic Muelmed



ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Degree / Diploma in General Nursing, registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)

DESIRED EDUCATION: Postgraduate certificate/ diploma in a relevant specialty area 



ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1-year experience in a relevant specialty area: ICU , General, Obstetrics; Theatre, and Emergency care.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 2 years experience in a relevant specialty area: ICU , General, Obstetrics; Theatre, and Emergency care.



Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team

Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety

Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment

Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions

Create a learning environment that builds staff competence

Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged


Infection prevention and control (IPC) principles and protocols
Scientific nursing principles and process
Nursing record keeping
Patient assessment skills
Nursing processes and procedures
Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
Develop/ modify a nursing care plan
Relevant nursing legislation
Basic life support trained (ACLS; ATLS; PALS training for specialised wards)
Risk identification
