MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To oversee the technical team and manage, improve and optimise the technical operations within the facility.
To act as the management representative for Quality Management and Continuous Improvement related to the engineering aspects of the facilities
which core purpose is to perform maintenance on buildings and equipment to ensure that assets are upheld to their original state.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: NQF level 6 Engineering qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with Thermodynamics and Electro Technology passed at 2nd year level.
DESIRED EDUCATION: N6, S4, T4 with Mechanical or Electrical (thermodynamics; electro engineering)
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
Minimum 6 years relevant engineering experience, of which 2 years experience within facility management environment with exposure to HVAC and auxiliary electrical power supplies.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
10 years’ relevant experience with a minimum of 6 years experience HVAC, BMS/SCADA environment with a N6, S4 or T4 qualification

- Manage the Technical Operations of Corporate Office

- Oversee the management and maintenance of building and equipment
- Oversee and manage on-site contractors at the Corporate Office
- Ensure quality management and continuous improvement within Technical Operations
- Lead and manage the people in the Technical team
- Manage and control department budget / finances
- Sustainability and plant management
